Memorial

For many of us Christmas is not always a time of joy and celebration but a time for sorrow and finding something important missing in our lives. I am very sad to share that a young member of our pack, Tegan, passed away on Christmas Eve from a congenital health issue. This issue just presented at the start of the week. Tegan was just 8 months old and a huge part of his mom and dad's life. He will be sorely missed.

It has been a difficult year for YLD in the sense we have witnessed too many canine deaths. Old Man Soffa who adopted Jim S. as his dad passed away a bit over a year ago. Then came Luther, Gracie, Bailey S. all in February and March. During the summer, Snowflake journeyed to the "Rainbow Bridge." Just recently we heard Old Lady Summer also went on and now Tegan. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone. We'll post photos after the busy season.

I hope this makes us all appreciate our dogs a bit more tonight.
Peace,
Wendy
