New Photos

The rains last week were heavy and left us using the inside and outside play areas. Just the last blog entry shows the inside play group and how they were interacting. The photos below are from last week also. Some are kind of shadowy because of the gray weather and lighting but all show well.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and I have the staff taking new photos. Talk soon.

General Photos and Portraits

Buckshot looking serious about something. I believe Buck is a great and heavy thinker!

Nic overseeing Gizmo and Cammie playing with Maya in the background climbing onto the play equipment.

Jazmine looking all regal and stately. Our newest employee, Cari, shares an apartment with Jazmine's mom. That's really cool 'cause Jazmine can visting daycare more easily.

Ladybird in one of her favorite locations - on top of the play equipment. Life would be even better if the sun was shining because Lady likes to sun bathe.

This is old man Nic. He is a great old guy who visits YLD whenever he stays at Jim S.'s house. We rescued him about two years ago. Now he is with a loving family and even has an older golden retreiver sister. Way to go, Nic!

Aaron and Cammie husky having a little quality snuggle time during the heavy rains last week. They make a cute couple.

This is a very old beagle named Ralt. Ralt visits once in a while for boarding. He's a good boy although by those eyes you can tell he gave everyone a run for their money when he was younger!
Maya looking cute with her new summer cut. It stills seems a bit chilly but she's ready for spring to rise from the winter cold!

Beulah...what a wonderful face. She does love her rocks since we don't keep tennis balls in the pack.

Another new little guy, Barnaby. Barnaby's mom thought he was an australian shepherd but he is actually a catahoula leopard dog. Big difference. We hope as he grows in the pack he'll continue to mind his manners. For those of you who are interested, visit dogbreedinfo.com for more information.

Rae, Joy and Charley posing on the hose box.

Maggie Mae and Bailey G posing on the play equipment with Ladybird in the background.

The pack...Maddie A., Darwin, Tyson, Dirks, Baxter, Poppy, Abby chow, and many others running towards the door because they were called to nap.
Lexi F. playing with a new daycare dog named Anu. The interesting name came from the organization "A New Leash on Life" where she was fostered and later adopted by a client.

Here's Mike with a new foster bloodhound, Beulah. She only has three legs (a front one is missing for some reason. In one day, Mike taught her to "shake" with her one paw. What a great girl. If you know of anyone who'd enjoy a pleasant dog just let us know.
Lexi doodle with her tongue sticking out several times. I wonder if she was teasing some other dog or just having fun.

Inside Play

Inside Play Day

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful end to your week and are eager for a rainy, relaxing weekend. I know the rain can be aggravating but we continue to need it so that's better than a drought! (I'm obviously a half-full glass kind of person, eh?)

Many of you wonder what the play groups look like on rainy days. Some of you know you can watch the pack on rainy days because we tend to be inside/outside. We roll up the large door and let the outside in and vise versa. Mike was able to take better photos with his phone then I have been able to take with the fancy camera. Go figure. Anyway, I thought you'd all appreciate a little glimpse into a"rainy day pack."

Peace,
Wendy

Late afternoon - Daisy, Piper, Barnaby - all lying down for a quick rest while Mollie and Bentley stand behind them.

Too many dogs in the following photos to write each name - just look for your babies!

Photos - Week of 3/16 to 3/21

Better late then never, eh? For some reason I had excessively low energy last week. I was faithful taking photos but just couldn't get them on the blog. I hope these photos make up for the missed time. We had a great time with warmer weather. Many of the photos will start showing the babies relaxing in the warmth of the sun during the afternoon sessions but we'll keep taking photos during the morning sessions also. I hope all is well in your worlds.
Peace,
Wendy

I love this photo of Miles and Lexi F. They look so cute together.

Cute, cute, cute! Charley comfort and Dr. Emma.

Mo taking a quick nap. Her parents are overseas so she's visiting for a bit but she's having a great time!

Callie and Mo and Bella B. all looking great while taking a bit of a lie down during the heat of the day.

Callie, just a few minutes later, taking a longer nap.

Tsuki seems a little bit tired! The head is sometimes too heavy for the body.

Again the chair is a comfy place to be for Carly the comfort spaniel. Guarding her is her big friend Estelle the newfie.

Here is Zander (being a good sport) displaying his St. Patrick spirit. The staff enjoyed assisting him in this endeavor!
