Some photos and a tribute to Moose!

G'day! We had a lovely weekend at YLD - I'm sure you all did, too, because of the beautiful weather! I'm sure there's more of that loveliness on the way. Below is an amalgamation of photos from different days and times. I've actually been busy working on the YLD scrapbook so haven't gotten as many photos on this blog. I'll have the current album out later this week so you all can see the newly completed pages.

Take care and have a wonderful week! Talk soon.
Peace,
Wendy

Bailey P. has a new sister, Sydney, who will be doing her trail evaluation next week. Yee-haw!

We're glad Ivy's been back. She's been having knee and hip issues so we've been concerned. Her stay with us went well. Congratulations Ivy!
Old Lady Casey's dad is glad her moniker is so...tame.

Sawyer and Daisy watching and waiting for the right momemt to pounce on someone.

Moose and Jesee having a great time together.

Fred looking good.

Max A. is visiting while his family is at a wedding and then visiting New York City to show their daughter, Paige, the sights.

Teddy's mom likes to keep his hair short so he needs a coat (sometimes two) so his moniker became "Teddy Two Coats"!

Abby Labby will be moving to Chicago when her mom and dad complete their advanced degrees - that will be a sad day at YLD because we love Abby.

A Special Tribute to Moose
Moose is a welcome visitor to daycare on Wednesday and Friday. He arrives with his older brother and sister, Onslow and Estelle. Many of you know these two because they are our resident newfoundlands. Now Moose, although he aspires to be a newfoundland, he's a white boxer. He's a big boy like his siblings but is not the brightest bulb (as his mom would say) and the recessive genes caused him to be deaf. So Moose, with his many struggles, holds a special place in the hearts of many YLD staff members. Last December, Jon and Jim S. created the Christ-moose poem in his honor. (Look for said poem in December's blog if you missed it.) Now Moose is having skin cancer issues but is healing well. So, on Friday (04/03) Jim S. took the following photo of a scrunched up Moose (he's trying to scratch his ear) and wanted me to share it with you all. Moose definately ranks in the "special needs" group - if we had an established one. We love you man!
Moose at Christmas.
