Doggie Daycare After Hours

Good morning. I couldn't sleep so thought I'd get these photos up for your perusal. I usually am trying to building relationships. One way to attain this goal among the staff is to have staff meetings. They are usually 9/10th fun and 1/10 work so they build community, shared experiences and camaraderie among the staff. Earlier tonight, my sister, Meg, was kind enough to open her home and back yard to the staff for a bonfire and potluck supper. Below are the photos from the staff event.
Enjoy a different kind of glimpse into the lives of the staff at YLD!

Peace,
Wendy

The start of the bonfire. According to Meg she is always trying to burn the wood her husband collects while her husband is always stockpiling wood in case of emergencies. Sounds like the two have different goals....

An amazing up close of the fire as it gets started.

Meg (a famous pyromaniac) starting the fire with Mike, Ryan and Cari's assistance.

Salsa and chips donated by Lauren.

Yummy crab dip cream cheese (which Mike is sampling) donated by Jim S.

Most of the staff...Emma, Jim, Meg, Sam*, Mindy*, Lauren, and Ryan with Carly and Violet the cavalier king charles spaniel chaperons.
(* means friends of YLD!)

Our receptionist, Jim.

Aaron stoking the fire.

My friend Sam laughing with Mike.

Two shots of the fire before we cooked somores.
