Holidays are approaching quickly!

Hi Everyone!
It seems everywhere I went over the weekend I was reminded that Thanksgiving and the Christmas season are right around the corner. Although this is a great time of joy and celebration for us, we need to remember our pups may need some extra help to get through!

Some dogs may be sensitive to the tree coming into the home, others may be overwhelmed by all the visitors or change in your schedule. If you have college kids coming home, school vacation or long term guests this will definitely change things.

Remember to use your dogs brain everyday!! This is a critical part of owning and living with a happy dog. Work your dog for 3 to4 minutes a few times a day using sit, lay, wait or stay, leave it, drop it, recall, name attention etc. We should also build our dogs manners by asking for a sit or down when we come or go from our home, feed, put on a leash or give a new toy. Its important for us to make our dogs work for these tiny paychecks. Not only does it help to bond us with our dog but it helps to build our dogs confidence in not only itself, but us as a good owner, mom, leader...whatever we see ourselves as!

As usual I'm here to help! I'm working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday right now but can also be reached by email.

I hope you all have a great day!
