I've come to announce the first training classes of 2009. I've decided to switch things up a bit to get the year off in a new direction. My classes seem to have build a following, which I love. It's now my job to keep everyone moving forward, learning new things and most of all having fun with our dogs! I will be running the usual puppy class, but have moved it to Monday night to accommodate a few new pups. I have also dropped the Junior Focus Class for this session. In its place I will be offering an Intro to Rally-O. For those of you that don't know what Rally-O is...
"Rally-O combines characteristics of sports car racing, dog agility, and traditional obedience into a new fun sport"
"Dog and Handler teams navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different exercises to perform such as Sit-Down-Sit, Straight Figure 8, Send Over Jump, Recall Over Jump. Teams navigate the course at a brisk, continuous performance without direction from the judge. Handlers are encouraged to talk to their dogs during the performance."
I have also decided to include a private home visit for all group class participants. I believe this will help problem solve any issues that may be occurring at home, fill in any grey areas and offer a full hour of individual attention that can't be offered any other way. I don't know of any other trainers or classes that offer this...I'm excited! Private visits must be scheduled and used during the 6 week course. I'm sorry no discounts for not taking advantage of this offer.
PUPPY FOCUS CLASS:
Monday, January 19th 7:00pm
Pups will learn all the basics. socialize, sit, lay, wait, loose leash walk etc.
We will also be problem solving mouthing, barking, potty training etc.
Requirements: current on vaccines (records required), friendly pup, under 6 months of age only
Start your new puppy off on the right paw!
Classes meet for 6 weeks, Week 1 Humans only, no puppies please!
$115.00, registration required.
Intro to Rally-O
Tuesday, January 20th 7:00pm
We will learn the basics of Rally-O, and have lots of fun!
Requirements: current on vaccines (records required), friendly pup, basic obedience knowledge and manners (sit, lay/down, wait/stay, loose leash walking) We're not looking for perfection...don't get scared!! We will be working on making all of these behaviors better during the class.
Classes meet for 6 weeks, Week 1 Humans only, no dogs please!
$115.00, registration required.
