Photos - 1/7

It's been several days since I left a blog. I have taken a few days off from working on this because the holiday was so busy and I felt I needed a little down time. That's over for now so I have some more photos to share. These were all taken on Monday, 1/5. I believe there were seven goldens visiting with three counterfeit goldens (ie. golden mixes of some sort). These photos were also taken at the end of the afternoon play session so everyone is tired as the photos attest. Enjoy!
Here's Gizmo (with the big ears) and Kacey C. just hanging together. I think they both like to have their photos taken. Both canines have been coming to daycare for several years. We've watched Kacey grow into a mature dog!More goldens...On the green play equipment is Mollie D. (in front). She's one of the counterfeit 'cause she's mixed with something else. Mollie is a great player and loves when other goldens visit. Behind her is Chance Mc. He is one of our younger goldens. He just started visiting early last year and now visits every Monday. On the ground in front is Bentley. He is a counterfeit golden/chow mix and beside him is a mystery golden. I don't recognize the collar right off. Please let me know if he is yours so I can correct the photo!

Piper W. is next. He, again, joined YLD as a puppy and now he is a mature male. He has two young human sisters who have helped him mature. Piper usually visits twice a week to keep his energy under control!

I love this photo because you see how the pack works at YLD. On the left is Abby Chow. She tends to be more active in the morning. Abby has claimed this corner of the top play area as her own. Behind her is Maggie Mae. Now Maggie Mae is small and it was kind of cool on Monday so she snuggled into Abby's fur and kept warm when she took a break from playing. On the right is Jack D. I love that I caught him in the act of yawning! He is an older yellow lab and had just sat down with the two ladies to catch a break from the activity. These three have very little energy at this time so they are all in a group that is low energy. Now, if it had been the morning when all three are full of more energy, they may be in a different play group. We like to keep the dogs grouped who have about the same energy level.

The top photo is a close up of Dr. Emma Underbite. She is aptly named and if you look closely at her teeth you will understand the moniker. Emma is a sweetheart! In the background are Jack and Sophie. Sophie is hopping off the end of the play equipment about to pounce on her older brother Jack. These two play hard both with each other and other dogs. In the bottom photo you can see Jack and Sophie taking a break! What cuties, huh?!

Last, but certainly not least, we have a small group looking forward to going home after a busy day of activity. There's Dr. Emma, Old Lady Casey and the mystery golden looking toward the outside door waiting to be called to go home. It's always fun to come and play but it is just a wonderful to go home to dinner and rest.

Have a great day.
Wendy
